Pastor W.F. Kumuyi spoke about why miracles don’t always happen instantly when pastors declare healing during the Thursday Revival Service at the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. In his sermon titled “Believing And Receiving Before Seeing,” he explained it with an example from the Bible.
Referencing a story from Mark 11:12-14, 20-24, Pastor Kumuyi pointed out how Jesus’ words didn’t immediately affect a fig tree, but its change came shortly after. He compared this to healing, saying that when a pastor declares healing, the sickness starts to fade from inside before it shows on the outside.
“It takes faith to make God’s word come true in our lives,” Pastor Kumuyi said. He stressed the importance of believing before seeing, not the other way around.
He then said, “We need to have faith for God’s promises to come true,” urging people to trust in God’s promises even before they see them happen, as he offered a perspective that goes beyond what we can see and touch. In the journey of faith, it’s the things we can’t see that pave the way for amazing things to happen.
