‘We Heard Some Reports That The Bandits And Kidnappers Have Cells In Bwari And Kubwa’ -Sen Akpabio

The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio has revealed the reason behind the Senate’s invitation of the Service Chiefs to the National Assembly, citing heightened emotions fueled by the recent surge in insecurity across the nation. He stated that there were reports of the infiltration of the Federal Capital Territory by kidnappers and bandits.

He noted that these information suggests that these criminal elements have established cells in Bwari and Kubwa, using these areas as congregational points for their activities.

He stated that the Senate’s attention was also drawn to the distressing situations in Taraba, Benue, and Oyo states through motions presented by concerned colleagues. He noted that motions were also raised on alarming developments in Plateau state, particularly in Mangu, Bokkos, and Barkin Ladi communities.
