he Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani has emphasized his commitment to impartiality, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations, he cited the absence of religious crisis in Kaduna state since he was elected as governor of the state.
He stated that the prevailing unity is attributed to a foundation of justice which is in treating everyone equitably and instilling a sense of belonging for all. He highlighted the diversity in Kaduna, boasting numerous ethnic nationalities and a cosmopolitan nature. He further urged fellow leaders not to represent any specific religion or ethnic group.
He said in an interview with Channels TV,
”I took an oath to be fair to everyone irrespective of his religion or ethnic affiliation. And if you look into what is happening in Kaduna today, we don’t have any problem of division. Since I was elected there has been no single religious crisis in Kaduna state. And why is this happening? It’s because of justice.
If you are fair to everyone, you treat everyone equally, and you give everyone a sense of belonging, there will be peace in any society, not only in Kaduna state. And my call to other people, as a leader, you are not elected to represent any religion or any ethnic group.
In Kaduna, we are very lucky, we have a lot of ethnic national nationalities.
Not only that, we are cosmopolitan. There are many people who are not from Kaduna who live in Kaduna. So for me, that is strength, that shouldn’t be weakness for us.”
