In a recent interview with Arise TV, former Governor Sule Lamido, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs, reflected on the challenges he faced while attempting to serve Nigeria during his tenure. Lamido revealed that he endured humiliation and was subjected to derogatory labels as he navigated his responsibilities in public service.
During the interview, Lamido expressed reluctance to offer advice to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He justified his stance by pointing to the negative labeling he endured during his own tenure. Lamido questioned the rationale of providing advice to individuals who once criticized and maligned him, citing the paradoxical nature of the request.
Lamido emphasized the personal toll he endured, noting that he was labeled a devil and experienced agony while striving to serve Nigeria. These challenges, according to his account, have influenced his decision not to engage in advising the current ruling party.
