Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 2023 elections, has called on Nigerians to hold their leaders accountable and prevent them from stealing public funds.
At a colloquium and hall of the award in Benin City, Edo State, Obi presented an award to the National Chairman of the LP, Julius Abure, and urged Nigerians to demand transparency and accountability in government.
He emphasized that Nigeria has abundant natural resources and human capital, but corruption and poor leadership have held the country back. Obi urged Nigerians to work together to stop those who are wasting public funds and emphasized that it is not their money. He believes that by doing so, the younger generation will have a better country.
