An agent of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has made some revelations concerning the gubernatorial election held on February 3, 2024, in Kaduna State.
According to her, the All Progressive Congress (APC), which is also contesting the Kaduna by-elections, is engaging in vote-buying.
Speaking with the media, the woman whose name was undisclosed maintained that the APC is buying votes at the rate of N10,000 to N15,000, backing her accusations with proofs and saying, “I can show you them now.”.
However, the PDP agent cited the fact that there is a large turnout in the election, which will not be if not for the vote-buying, adding that with the wavering Nigerian economy, if anyone is given such an amount to sell their votes, they will willingly comply.
In a video posted by Sahara TV, the agent said,
“All they are doing is vote-buying, ten thousand naira, fifteen thousand naira, which is not done”.
Furthermore, when asked to name the perpetrators of this electoral malpractice, the woman said, “APC, I can show you them now; you can see that the turnout is high”.
