The Nigerian man, who had left behind a wife and four children to marry an American woman, found himself back in Nigeria with nothing to show for his years abroad.

Joseph’s journey began in the early 1980s when he left Nigeria in search of better opportunities. He first settled in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a security guard for nine years.

Unsatisfied with his life in the UK, he then moved to the United States, where he found success as an electronics dealer in Orange County, California.

Despite his business success, Joseph’s personal life was fraught with challenges. He married an American woman and had four children with her, but their marriage ultimately fell apart, leaving Joseph estranged from his family.

His Nigerian wife and two children from his previous marriage also faced hardship in his absence, with his Nigerian wife being forced out of their home by relatives.

Joseph’s life took a drastic turn when he fell ill after making love to his American wife, experiencing symptoms that doctors struggled to diagnose.

He was hospitalized for 14 months, during which he suffered both physically and financially.

Eventually, he was advised to return to Nigeria for treatment, where he found himself homeless, sleeping under bridges in Lagos.

Despite his hardships, Joseph’s faith remained strong, and he eventually found solace in the support of a fellow pastor who helped him get back on his feet through prayer and guidance.
