President Bola Tinubu has announced Nigeria’s readiness to host the African Central Bank in accordance with the Abuja treaty, signaling.

Tinubu highlighted Nigeria’s commitment to collaborating with the African Union Commission and member states to ensure the successful establishment of the bank by 2028.
Speaking at the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tinubu emphasized the important role of education in addressing the continent’s long-standing challenges and fostering innovative solutions.
Tinubu disclosed his administration’s dedication to investing substantial resources in education at all levels, recognizing it as the cornerstone of sustainable development and progress across Africa.

“In the face of formidable obstacles such as climate change and unequal global trade patterns, it is imperative for African nations to forge ahead with a collective resolve to deliver qualitative democratic governance and economic prosperity to our people,” Tinubu stated.
He emphasized the importance of fostering unity and cooperation among West African nations, emphasizing the shared bonds of history, culture, commerce, and brotherhood that bind the region together.
Tinubu urged all stakeholders to approach discussions and negotiations with a spirit of goodwill and sincerity, assuring that Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) stand ready to engage constructively and collaboratively with partners towards common goals.
