Dahiru Adamu, the infamous kidnapper who was at the top of the most-wanted list in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been apprehended.
In a relatively short time since FCT Minister Nyesom Wike offered a reward of N20 million for information that could lead to their capture, both Dahiru Adamu and Abu Ibrahim have been taken into custody.
According to Daily Post, these two individuals were believed to be responsible for inciting chaos in the Federal Capital Territory through their involvement in kidnapping and the murder of innocent citizens.
On Friday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrest and provided reporters with the necessary details.
Bennett Igweh, the FCT Commissioner of Police, had previously joined Wike in announcing the N20 million bounty during a meeting. The instructions were crystal clear: Dahiru Adamu and Abu Ibrahim, the identified kidnappers, were to face justice, dead or alive.
This announcement came amidst a display of 23 criminal suspects at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki, Abuja. Wike stressed the unyielding dedication of his administration to ensuring that criminals are given no room to breathe and that the safety of FCT residents is guaranteed.
