Muhammadu Buhari, the former President of Nigeria, made a public appearance after leaving office on May 29, 2023. He arrived at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina to attend the passing out parade of the newly formed Katsina Community Watch Corps (KCWC). The Governors of Katsina, Yobe, Zamfara, Kano, Sokoto, and Kebbi states received Buhari.
The Katsina State Government established the KCWC, a new security outfit, to help combat insecurity in the state.
