Reactions have ensued after the Nigerian football team, Super Eagles beat the South African team to qualify for the AFCON finals.
Over the past months, Nigeria has played against Cameroon, Angola & South Africa and won all three countries.
The match with South Africa ended with a draw of 1:1, then penalty kicks were introduced which saw Nigeria scoring 4 penalties against South Africa’s 2 penalty goals.
Players like Osimhen, Omeruo, Iwobi and their goal keeper, Nwabali among others were particularly celebrated as a troop of chanting Nigerians ecstatically stormed Nwabali’s father’s house to celebrate the keeper.
Hilarious reactions trailed the celebratory posts which were shared on Instagram, and one commentator wrote,
“Even if I give birth to a daughter, I will name her Nwabali”
Another, highlighting the tight competition between Nigeria and South Africa over who owns Amapiano sound wrote, “Afrobeat 1 – 0 Amapiano”
