Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has shared his observations about the aftermath of governorship election petition verdicts.
In a video shared on YouTube by Channels TV, Wike said he watched the governors whose elections were affirmed by the Supreme Court thanking President Tinubu for not interfering with the court process. He said after the governors expressed gratitude to God, the next person they thanked was Tinubu. He said however within a short span the narrative transformed, with governors raising complaints
In Nyesom Wike’s words:
“I watched every governor after Supreme Court verdicts, after they thanked God the next person was Tinubu. Just after two or three weeks everything has evaporated, now it is a different thing:
‘Mr President we are dying, we are doing this, we are not doing that’. That is the country for you”
