Honourable Joshua Chinedu Obika, the House of Representatives member representing Amac/Bwari Federal Constituency in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has disclosed that many areas in his constituency don’t have sign of government presence. In an exclusive interview with Dickson Iroegbu on Nigeria Right Now, the Honourable member said about five out of the 22 wards in his constituency have federal government presence.
He said:
“If you look at Abuja today, people think that Abuja is just this state that you see in the cities. I have 22 wards in my federal constituency. In this 22 wards, it’s only about five that is having the federal government presence as you see it today.
I can take you to areas in my constituency that there
is no sign of government presence. That is what people don’t know. And that’s why I’m laying emphasis even when we go on road reconstruction network with the minister. I always tell the minister that our satellite towns and the rural communities should be given a maximum attention. Because nothing is happening there.”
