The Electoral Tribunal of Lagos State has rejected the petition filed by Labor Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, challenging the election victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The court’s ruling on Monday upheld Sanwo-Olu’s win in the March 18 gubernatorial elections as legitimate.

The court found that Mr. Rhodes-Vivour’s petition was without merit.
The LP flag bearer and Olajide Adediran of the PDP had questioned the victory of Governor Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat of the Congress of all progressives (APC).
Earlier on Monday, the court had confirmed the return of Sanwo-Olu as the duly elected governor of the state, while dismissing Adediran’s petition.
