The former Executive Governor of Rivers State now the current FCT minister, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike, has told the area council chairmen in the territory domains and develop the communities. He also said that if the area council chairmen did not perform well in the rural areas, they are likely to cause culumination for the municipal.
The FCT minister urged to complete all abandoned projects to resucitate the hope because they have suffered as a result of lack of accessible roads.
He also informed the rural areas that it is their time to benefit. He also said that if they are not be taken good care, that is they have disappoint the government.
The minister explained that the rural road intervention and other infrastructural development earmarked for rural communities was in fulfilment of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

“If you don’t do well for rural communities, you will create problems for the city”.
