Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has come under fire from the Presidency for saying that President Bola Tinubu is playing the violin while the country is submerging in a sea of insecurity.
According to Daily Post,
Atiku wrote in a tweet on Twitter X, Saying
“Tinubu is playing fiddle while Nigeria is drowning in the ocean of insecurity.”
Imagine, among other frequent tragedies plaguing Nigerians, that the Commander-in-Chief is on a supposedly private visit while kidnappers murder two monarchs in Ekiti, a nursing mother and grandmother in Abuja for not paying a N90 million ransom.
However, the presidency said that Atiku’s claim that Tinubu was interfering during certain security and economic issues is, to put it mildly, rash in a statement released on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity.
“Coming days after he made an equally reckless allegation against the President on the crude for loan deal for NNPC Limited, his latest statement fell short of what is expected from an elder statesman.
