Reports indicate that President Bola Tinubu and his legal team are exploring options to prevent Chicago State University (CSU) from releasing his academic records.
Investigative journalist Jackson Ude alerted the public of this alleged effort, stating that Tinubu and his lawyers are actively searching for an “Emergency Motions Judge” at the U.S. Court of Appeal, Seventh Circuit, as CSU prepares to release the documents today in compliance with a court order. However, it is unlikely that the President will succeed as the documents are scheduled to be released within the next two hours from the time of Ude’s post.
Jackson’s post on X reads: “UPDATE: BOLA TINUBU SHOPPING FOR EMERGENCY MOTION JUDGE AT THE U.S COURT OF APPEAL
“While Bola Tinubu and his lawyers are busy shopping for an “Emergency Motions Judge” at the U.S Court of Appeal, Seventh Circuit, Lawyers of Atiku Abubakar are already prepared to counter. Tinubu and his lawyers have a few hours to get a Judge. And it is almost unlikely they would succeed. No time for the dru** to escape!”
This move comes after United States Judge, Nancy Maldonado ordered the immediate release of the academic records of President Bola Tinubu by the Chicago State University (CSU).
Reports say Judge Maldonado gave CSU until 12 CDT on Monday to release the documents to Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Mr Atiku had earlier secured an order from Jeffrey Gilbert’s Magistrate Court for the American institution to make the President’s academic records available to his legal team.
The documents sought by Atiku, through his counsel, Angela Liu, include the record of admission and acceptance at the university, dates of attendance including degrees, awards, and honours attained by the former governor of Lagos State at the university, among others.
The identity of who was admitted into Chicago State University in the 1970s is believably going to be unveiled today and the controversies surrounding the college transcripts indicating that the school admitted a female Bola Tinubu from Southwest College Chicago in 1977 will die off.
