The Nigerian music sensation, Teniola Apata, otherwise known as Teni, has recently voiced her frustration with the persistence of individuals seeking financial assistance from her without considering her well-being or boundaries.
Addressing the issue head-on, Teni remarked, You beggar don’t have conscience, You will beg someone for money, come back again after 3 days”
In a video Teni shared on her Instagram page, she expressed her dismay at the lack of empathy and respect exhibited by some beggars.
Teni called out the Beggar Association, questioning their leadership and urging them to instill a sense of responsibility and empathy among their members.
She expressed incredulity at the audacity of individuals who repeatedly seek financial assistance without consideration for the giver’s circumstances or well-being.
Teni’s frustration was palpable as she questioned the integrity and moral compass of persistent beggars. “Y’all don’t have the fear of God,” she declared, emphasizing the gravity of their actions.
She challenged the ethics of their behavior, questioning whether they truly understand the impact of their actions on others.
Furthermore, Teni highlighted the lack of genuine concern displayed by some beggars, noting their failure to inquire about the welfare of the giver or express gratitude for previous assistance.
She raised alarm at the increasing demands for money, revealing that some beggars have begun requesting foreign currency such as US dollars and pounds.
Teni emphasized the importance of patience and humility when seeking assistance. She cautioned against entitlement mentality, reminding individuals to exercise restraint and respect the boundaries of others. “Even God sometimes when you ask him for something, he will ask you to wait,” she remarked.
Teni called on beggars to introspect and consider the impact of their actions on others.
She urged them to approach solicitations with empathy and sensitivity, recognizing that everyone has limitations and struggles.
