The Rh null blood group, often known as the golden blood, is the name of the blood type. It is the world’s rarest and most valuable blood type. This is due to the fact that only 43 individuals worldwide have it. An Australian Aboriginal woman was the first to see it. Because the DNA of persons with this blood type lacks the genes needed to assemble the red blood cell protein complexes, their red blood cells are devoid of any Rh antigens, which sets them apart from other blood types. Scientists found that only nine of the 43 individuals are active donors. This puts them in jeopardy because donations are hard to come by and tough to obtain. Donations of that blood type are limited to those who have rare blood types.
It is said that some of the potential causes of the blood type are genetic mutation, marriage between relatives, and changes or complete deletion of certain genes. Complications of those who have the blood type are; long-term, mild hemolytic anemia, shorter lifespans, increased red blood cell breakdown, blood transfusion challenges, and incompatibility during pregnancy which might lead to miscarriages.
