Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) Executive Director, Hansatu Adegbite, took over the weekend as the first female president of the Netherlands Business School Alumni Association, Nigeria.
Ms. Adegbite and five others will direct the affairs of the association as leaders of its executive committee.
BSN Nigeria Country Director Lere Baale, in his welcome address, noted that the institution has produced 968 Master of Business Administration graduates since its inception in 2004.

He said the institution, which was founded in 1988 in the Netherlands, has international centers in nine locations and a network of alumni members in 74 countries.
Opening
Ms. Adegbite graduated in Business Administration from the University of Abuja with an MBA from BSN Action Learning. She is also a student of the Harvard Business School in Boston, USA, in Strategic Perspectives in the Management of Nonprofit Organizations.

In her remarks, Ms. Adegbite said that BSN Nigeria has had a huge impact on her personal and professional life.
“What they taught us went beyond academics, it was more about using knowledge to solve existing problems in organizations. One of the things that I have been taught to do early on is to use my knowledge to solve problems through teamwork,” she said.
On the plans of the executive committee, he said: “We are a network of alumni members in around 74 countries and one of the things that we are going to do from the Nigerian point of view is to bridge the gap through cross-border networking and business opportunities. .
“We are going to have an African congress focused on alumni in Africa, come together and give people the opportunity to participate and we are going to invest in technological advances.”
Immediate Past Chairman Yomi Martin, in his speech, congratulated Ms Adegbite, noting that available data shows that companies with higher representation of women on their boards significantly outperformed organizations that did not. have.
“Get ready for a season of exponential growth from our alumni,” he said.
The other members of the executive committee are Nelson Ayodele (Vice President 1); Akinkunmi John (VP 2); Chukwunonso Inoma (Secretary General); Temitope Ayokunle (Treasurer) and Adekumbi Thomas as Public Relations Officer.
“BSN is about action”

In his presentation, the country director reiterated that BSN is more practical in its approach.
