Ben Igweh, the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has highlighted the proactive role played by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in ensuring security.
In an interview with Channels TV, Igweh described Wike as a security officer. He revealed that Wike actively participates in patrols, personally overseeing the safety of residents in FCT. Igweh also attested that he sometimes encounters Wike during patrols in areas like Bwari, underscoring Wike’s commitment to firsthand observation and engagements
In Igweh’s words:
“Wike is a security officer, you may not know that he goes on patrol, we crisscross each other in Bwari because I am always on patrol and the minister is equally always on patrol so he sees things by himself. He is another security man altogether so it has made a lot of us to be on our toes because he is on patrol. So the Minister is equally doing a great job especially the issue of patrolling by himself”.
