Omowunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, has spoken out about the threats she and her son, Liam, are facing.
According to Punch, she urged Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, to arrange a court-ordered DNA test for Liam.
Expressing her distress through Instagram posts, she highlighted the ongoing threats they endure, similar to what Mohbad faced before his passing. She pleaded for support from fellow Nigerians, emphasizing the seriousness of their situation.
The situation is made more complicated by Mohbad’s father, who initially pressured them to have a child but now questions Liam’s paternity. Omowunmi finds it contradictory and hurtful that he would demand a DNA test after encouraging the pregnancy.
While Omowunmi is willing to undergo the DNA test, she insists on a court order first. She expressed determination to confront her adversaries and prove her son’s legitimacy.
During an Instagram Live session, Omowunmi revealed the extent of the threats they face, including fears for her and Liam’s safety. She recounted how she’s been warned of violence and feels unable to live a normal life, all while trying to protect Liam’s innocence and freedom.
She vowed to fight for Liam’s rights and dignity, even if it meant risking her own life. She implored Nigerians to rally behind her and ensure Liam’s safety and well-being.
