In a recent statement, the Kremlin has signaled its readiness to back any initiatives geared towards securing the release of hostages and establishing a ceasefire in conflict zones.
According a report by Times Of Israel, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that while the Kremlin is prepared to extend support, it underscores the importance of constructive actions aimed at achieving a comprehensive solution within the confines of international law and existing Security Council resolutions.
Speaking on behalf of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov stated:
“We are ready to support any action that will lead to the release of the hostages and a ceasefire.” He continued,
“But we believe that the actions should be constructive, aimed at a comprehensive solution of the problem within the framework of international law and previously-adopted Security Council resolutions.”
Dmitry Peskov underscored the need for concerted efforts that uphold the principles of diplomacy and respect for sovereignty, emphasizing that any actions taken should contribute to long-term stability and the protection of civilian lives.
