Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has urged President Bola Tinubu to assume responsibility for addressing the dire security situation in the nation.
Obi made this statement in response to the horrific killings of Elesun of Esun Ekiti and Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti on Monday in a tweet on his official X Twitter.
Lagosreporters had reported that the monarchs who were returning from a security meeting in Irele-Ekiti were attacked and killed by suspected bandits.
Reacting, Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, asked the president to “wake up from his sleeping bed” and tackle the security problems.
