On Tuesday, April, 9th, the Karakkai Community vigilantes in Zamfara State apprehended one of the notorious young bandits who has been terrorizing the community.
It was gathered that he was approached and apprehended by the vigilantes after he was spotted perambulating the community.
IBIReport’s further gathered that the teenager, 16, is notorious for setting the stage for series of kidnappings.
He was paraded in the community while answering questions bordering on his criminal activities.
Meanwhile, the insecurity situation in Zamfara State has heightened of recent, and has caused concerns among Nigerians.
Insecurity In Zamfara
The death of bandit kingpin, Sani Dangote, killed in a deadly rival clash in Zamfara State is fast consuming many bandit leaders and fighters in the North-West and has also changed the dynamics of banditry in the state, Zagazola reports.
Dangote was said to have been killed alongside his two brothers and some of his fighters by a notorious Dankarami in the Dumburum Forest of the area.
A top security intelligence around the local government told Channels Television on Monday morning that the fight ensued when Dankarami rustled some cows belonging to Sani Dangote
The source said the gun battle started around 2 pm on Sunday and lasted till about 6 pm, leaving several bandits dead.
However, days after Dangote’s death, two terrorists on Tuesday surrendered to the army, admitting to being among the rival gang that killed Dangote.
According to IBI Report, the insurgents surrendered with two Ak47 rifles, each with its magazines, 2 bicycles and mobile phones.
