The Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has claimed that since the Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, became the governor, he has not been able to record any form of achievement in the state, rather, the only thing that has been going on is sponsored processions and media presence.
Tony Okocha made this known while addressing some APC members in Rivers State in a programme that was shown on Channels Television. During the programme, Tony Okocha said, “a whopping sum of N144 billion has been received (by Fubara) as federal allocation under FAAC.”
“This amount quoted here is aside the internally generated revenue which is conservatively put at N10 billion every month. We regret that this amount has not translated to action in any way in terms of development in the state. What we see are heavily funded processions and media presence in support of an unnecessary political issue.”
