D. H. Bwala, an international motivational speaker, author, adjunct lecturer, and human resource development consultant, reacted to the way that some people called the Super Eagles all sorts of names when they started before and when they started their journey, and how they have now gotten to the final with that of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar campaign in 2023 wrote on his official X handle (formerly called Twitter), saying, “Renewed Super Eagles, Renewed Hope Nigeria.”
“I recall when the super eagles commenced this journey of hope, a lot of people called them all sorts of names, including heavy media personalities. “Super chickens,” “go waste your time,” “overhyped players,” etc. Today, they proved the same people wrong.
