President Bola Tinubu has expressed his sorrow over the death of Adamu Fika, an elder statesman and former head of the civil service of the Federation, who died on Tuesday at the age of 90.
President Tinubu, mourning Wazirin Fika, recalled the outstanding roles he played in fostering the enduring institution responsible for the articulation and implementation of public policies at a difficult time for the Federal Civil Service.
He said the contributions of the late Mr. Fika as Head of Service and Chairman of different civil service reform panels were indelible in the annals of Nigerian history.
“Alhaji Adamu Fika’s life of service in Nigeria saw him occupy several important positions, prior to his promotion to the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; position that he held until his retirement,” the president said.
Condolences to the government and people of Yobe StatePresident Tinubu said Fika left a legacy of achievement, integrity, passion for service and commitment worthy of emulation by public servants and other compatriots.
“May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus,” the president prayed.
