President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Aliyu Ahmed as the new Federal Commissioner/Executive Director of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).
This was contained in a statement by the presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday in Abuja.
The statement said Ahmed received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sociology and previously worked in the Nasarawa State Government as Secretary to the State Government (SSG); Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; and as Commissioner of Education.
The new chief executive replaces Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, who was recently appointed minister of state for police affairs.
“Based on this directive from the President, the appointment takes immediate effect,” the statement said.
