The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States has shared photos of the crash site where a helicopter carrying Access Holdings’ CEO, Herbert Wigwe, crashed last weekend. The accident occurred near Halloran Springs, close to the California-Nevada border, and involved an Airbus helicopter with the registration number EC130. The crash also involved Wigwe’s wife, Doreen, their son, Chizi Wigwe, and former Nigerian Exchange Group Chairman, Abimbola Ogunbanjo. The NTSB released the images after one of its board members, Michael Graham, confirmed that the board had visited the site and highlighted the activities carried out on the first day of the investigation. The photos show NTSB officials examining the wreckage at the site.
While emphasising the agency’s commitment to a meticulous examination of the scene, Graham had said the team conducted aerial drone mapping and documented the wreckage.
According to him, various electronic devices and onboard equipment were recovered at the scene for further examination and analysis.
