The Katsina State House of Assembly has extended its congratulations to the citizens and residents of Katsina State on the occasion of its 36th anniversary.
Ibrahim Babangida
The state was created on September 23, 1987, by retired Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, the former Nigerian Military Head of State. The speaker of the assembly, Alhaji Nasir Yahaya, commended the foresight of Babangida in creating the state and acknowledged the sacrifice and commitment of its founding fathers, including military and civilian governors.
The assembly also praised the people of the state for their peaceful and harmonious coexistence, regardless of tribal or religious inclinations, and urged them to sustain the tempo. The assembly further commended the ongoing efforts of the present administration of Governor Dikko Radda to tackle insecurity and pledged its continued support to achieve the desired success.
