Taxi drivers are deemed to be the most cruel and disrespectful drivers in the whole country, they are known for being mean towards their customers and for not abiding to the traffic rules, they drive as if there is a special set of rules set for them, they stop whenever they want and would easily skip a red traffic light or a stop sign without any hesitation, most of them have dozens of traffic fines which they have no intentions of paying at any time, this decided to deal with the traffic officer who tried to stop him down in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
Reports emerging suggests that there is a traffic officer who was knocked down by a taxi driver who broke the rules of the road, when the officer attempted to stop him, he decided to run him over instead of taking order he was given, he was caught on camera after he made a U-turn in a prohibited and he was not willing to pay the price, instead, he decided to make the traffic officer pay an ultimate price with pain.
On the video, a white Toyota Quantum was seen being chased down the road by a van, then after a few seconds, realizing that he is about to get caught, he made a quick U-turn and the other official who was on the side of the road saw that happening and decided to intervene, he tried stopping the taxi but the taxi driver knocked him down instead of stopping, the cop saw the danger coming, but he had very little time to react, he never thought he will have to run for his life, at the end he was knocked down, however, it is not clear how bad the injuries are.
Drivers are taught to always stop whenever they are ordered to do so by an official, but this one was on the world of his own and broke the rules, however, he was subsequently arrested following this incident.
