Angolans have joined Nigerians to celebrate the advancement of the Super Eagles into the semi-finals of the ongoing 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire on Friday.
PUNCH Online reports that a lone goal from Ademola Lookman in the 41st minute gave Nigeria the lead and victory against Angola into the AFCON semi-finals.
Celebrating the Super Eagles win, a verified X handle for Angola, #Angolans, wrote “Congratulations to Nigeria, you completely outplayed us.”
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also hailed the Super Eagles on their victory.
He wrote on X,
