According to an interview with Daily Trust newspaper, Sule Lamido, who is a former governor of Jigawa state and a former foreign affairs minister, stated that President Bola Tinubu is leading Nigerians to their graves. When asked about his assessment of the Tinubu administration, the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain questioned Tinubu’s promise to continue from where Buhari stopped. Lamido remarked that Tinubu had not fulfilled this promise and questioned where Tinubu would start from – insecurity, poverty, or hunger.
Lamido also criticized Tinubu’s statement, saying that he would continue Buhari’s policies on the economy, security, corruption, human rights, and other issues. Ultimately, Lamido left it up to the readers to decide whether Tinubu’s administration has been successful or not.
“I told you in the 2015 election that if they win, Nigeria will lose. Buhari lacked the political sagacity, vision, commitment, and pedigree to answer or explain the issues he was questioned on.
“Now, after eight years, Tinubu came and said he would continue from where Buhari stopped. So, the next destination is our grave because the journey has started with a trailer load of poverty, hunger, insecurity, hate, despondency, frustration, pain, agony, and the destination is the grave.”
