Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has revealed that she finds speaking Yoruba language draining.
Adunni Ade is a Nigerian American actress and model who was born on the 7th of June 1976 in Queens, New York to a German American mother and a Nigerian father from Lagos said she finds Yoruba language draining when she featured in a recent episode of the Channels Television programme, morning brief.
She said she prefers English which is Nigeria’s lingua franca, stressing that all the other languages should be put aside.
She said, “Speaking Yoruba is draining, sometimes it hurts my nerves. The first language that we know in Nigeria is English. Let’s put all the other languages aside.”
She, however, expressed gratitude to her father for bringing her to Nigeria to learn the Nigerian culture.
