African Action Congress presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore says he will never go abroad for medical treatment if elected president.
Speaking on Television Programme on Thursday, Sowore said any illness he cannot treat in Nigeria should kill him.
He said he is committed to not using the presidency for personal or family gain.
Sowore said he will not establish an office of First Lady if elected, noting that there is no such constitutional position.
He said becoming president will not end his marriage, but the position of First Lady wastes money needed for projects and development.
He stressed he wants women to be heard in government but does not believe in an unconstitutional First Lady office.
A: If you become president, would you go abroad to take treatment?
A: “Any ailment that I have in Nigeria when I become president that I can’t treat in Nigeria, that illness better kill me.”
