Public lice are little wingless insects living on the skin and feeding on human blood. The pubic lice have claws like a crab which called it ‘pubic crab.’ You hang your claws on human hair and use it to pinch your flesh. Like lice in uncanned hair, these crustaceans are found on hairy regions of the skin like barks, eyebrows, moustaches, axes and pubic hair. Because of their small size, it is quite difficult to spot them and they can live without notice in the pubic area.
How do I know when I’m having public lice?
According to studies, pubic skin lice symptoms do not occur so early. You can spend up to five days on skin with the pubic lice, however symptoms such as itching on private individuals and allergic reactions, such as redness or skin swelling, can be produced by pubic lice.
How can I prevent it?
• Avoid lovemaking with many people
Research indicates that pubic lice can be transmitted from person to person. Public lice are classified STI since lovemaking might transmit them. People who love multiple partners have increased chances of getting pubic lice since during lovemaking they can be readily spread from one person to another. This is the most common route of transmitting pubic lice so that it should be addressed carefully.
If you have pubic lice, avoid lovemaking until you are otherwise treated, you can pass it on to others. Close body contacts, such as embracing, can potentially transfer pube lice.
• Wash your bedsheets all the time

People who do not wash their linens are more likely to have pubic lice. According to an article by women’s health center, pubic lice can remain outside of human skin for up to 24 hours. You are at risk if an infected person gets on your bed when you don’t wash your bedding.
• Avoid sharing bed linen, towels and clothing
Sharing your underwear, towels, bed linen or clothing may also enhance your likelihood of having public lice because you may not know whether your shareholder is a pubic lice carrier.
If you discover signs such as frequent itching in the public region, consult a doctor to provide you the proper lotion, antibiotics, or therapy methods.
It is not suggested to scrape an itching spot constantly since you may be in danger of skin infection.
