According to the Daily Trust, A suspected female kidnapper was apprehended by Nigerian Army troops from 93 Battalion under 6 Bridget while they were attempting to collect ransom for a victim who had been abducted in Taraba.

According to an army spokesman, Janet Igohia, a 31-year-old suspected kidnapper, was apprehended after receiving N1.5 million as ransom for the kidnapping of a victim in the Chanchangi area of Takum Local Government Area.

He claimed that Igohia had disclosed that she was wed to Voryor Gata, a well-known criminal and the late Gana Terwase’s former second-in-command.

“At the moment, she is wed to the head of a violent extremist organisation in southern Taraba. She claimed to have previously been married to well-known criminals, including the late Terkibi Gemaga, also known as Mopol, a renowned kidnapper who was slain by the military five years ago.

“She disclosed that she was also married to the late Gana Terwase, a renowned criminal who was killed three years ago during a joint special force operation,” the speaker stated.
