The holy festival of the Islamic community, Ramadan is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm across different parts of the world. This year, Ramdan began on March 12 after the sightseeing of the Moon in Mecca. During the 30 days of Ramadan, Muslims observe a strict fast from dawn to dusk that is known as ‘Roza’. While fasting, people consume Suhoor or Sehri and Iftar, which are the two ideal meals of the Ramadan festival. Suhoor is the meal consumed at dawn before the fast begins and iftar is the food eaten after dusk to open the fast. Except for suhoor and iftar, people do not consume anything during the whole fast. Eggs

Eggs are a fulfilling food perfect for your Suhoor meals. Overwhelmingly versatile, eggs may be enjoyed in a variety of ways, including scrambled, boiled, poached, and hard-boiled. All nine of the necessary amino acids, the building blocks of protein, are present in approximately 6 grams of protein found in one egg. Eating eggs first thing in the morning is a really healthy habit.

Oatmeal

You can also include oatmeal in your Suhoor meals. The most popular breakfast dish is muesli, which is prepared by cooking oats with milk or water. Beta-glucan, a form of fibre found in oats, is believed to help lower blood pressure, and cholesterol, enhance blood sugar, and cholesterol management and keep you energised throughout the day.

The best meal for suhoor is fruits and vegetables. Take some fresh fruits such as oranges, watermelon, grapes etc and boiled vegetables for suhoor. Fruits and vegetables are abundant in nutrients and water content that will keep you hydrated and energised all day long.

Nuts And Seeds

You can also consume nuts and seeds and enjoy their health benefits. Nuts and seeds contain essential nutrients and antioxidants that keep us full for longer hours and prevent hunger. You can add yoghurt, some fruits and nuts and then consume them.
