On Thursday, February 15, President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to take part in the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).
“Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality, and Relevant Learning in Africa” is the subject of this year’s summit.
The President will attend high-level meetings with other African leaders to discuss institutional reforms of the African Union, peace and security, specific thematic issues like climate change, and the priorities and participation modalities of the continental body in the G20. This information was released by Ajuri Ngelali, the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.
Ngelali said that President Tinubu, in his capacity as the regional body’s chairman, will also attend an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS on the fringes of the meeting.
He further mentioned that President Tinubu is anticipated to return to Abuja after the conference, traveling with several ministers and other senior government officials.
