the police in imo status said two suspects have been arrested for allegedly desecrating an 11-year-old girl in Umuoduagu, a community in the Ngor-Okpala local government area of the state.
Police spokesman Henry Okoye, who revealed it in a statement on Sunday, said the suspects committed the crime in a house where the girl lives with her father.
Mr. Okoye, Deputy Superintendent of Police, gave the names of the suspects as Chika Abalake, 42, and Jude Uchenna, 25.
He said they were arrested by police detectives following complaints filed on August 10 by the survivor’s father.

“The suspects, who allegedly had illicit carnal relations with the minor separately in her father’s house, every time she went to work, are calming down in the custody of the division where the preliminary investigation is taking place.
“They will subsequently be transferred to SCIID Owerri for further discreet investigation.
“Medical reports revealed that the victim has a serious injury to her vulva as a result of the desecration and the minor has opened up to her father and police, recounting how the suspects repeatedly desecrated her,” Okoye said.
The spokesman said police would update the public on developments in the case.
