In a hospital located in Rajasthan, Northwestern India, a baby girl was born with 14 fingers and 12 toes. Specifically, she has seven fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot.
Even though doctors have stated that her condition is a genetic anomaly, her family is thrilled and publicly referred to her as the reincarnated Dholagarh Devi, a prominent local deity whose temple is in close proximity to where the baby was born.
According to Dr. BS Soni, a medic at the hospital where the baby was delivered, having 26 fingers is a genetic anomaly that poses no harm to a person’s health. The newborn girl with this condition is reported to be in good health overall. It is unknown at this time if the family plans to pursue surgery to reduce the number of digits on the baby’s limbs.
