A pastor of an unnamed church in Anambra State, Prosper Igboke, has reportedly committed suicide.
Igboke, 30, died instantly after jumping from a two-story building because he was rejected by his lover, whom he had trained at a university, according to a report. punch report.
The incident occurred in July in Nnewi, a community in the North Nnewi local government area of the state.
The deceased was from Leru, a community in Umunneochi Local Government Area, Abia State, but resided in Nnewi, Anambra State, where he worked as a herdsman.

A relative of the deceased, who asked not to be named, told reporters on Saturday that the deceased had made a marriage proposal to his unnamed lover, but she refused.
“He jumped from a two-story building and died. It amazes me that a man of this age and a pastor can do this,” said the family member.
The relative said he was buried in a forest for committing “sacrilege” according to community tradition.
“He was finally buried in a bush on Friday,” he added.
Anambra State Police spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga said the incident had not yet been reported to the state police.
However, Ikenga, deputy superintendent of police, promised to inform police personnel in the community so that they can take “necessary measures”.
