The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his third wife, Olori Tobi Phillips have celebrated the christening ceremony of their twins.
The well-known ‘Ojaja II’ and his wife took to their Instagram pages as they revealed the names of their twins to the general public.
It is worth noting that the monarch and his third wife welcomed twins last weekend. According to traditions, 8 days after delivering the set of twins, the Ooni christened his babies.
The Royal twins were named in accordance with the Ile Ife tradition and culture. For Taiye, who holds the title of princess, her names are Adesewa, Oreade, and Oluwatamilore Ejide Ogunwusi.
As for Kehinde, the prince, he was given the names Adeshina, Oreade, Ejide, and Oluwasemilore Ogunwusi.
In a video circulating online, Olori Tobi Phillips was observed reading out the twins’ names from a paper, with members of the palace present. However, noticeably absent was the Ooni.
Reports suggest that, as per tradition, the Ooni is currently unable to see his twins.
