A businessman in Ondo State, Sesan Adelabu has allegedly killed his wife and committed suicide over alleged infidelity. This was reported in a news published by VANGUARD NEWS on Saturday morning. According to the news platform, the unfortunate incident was confirmed by the Ondo state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami when contacted by journalists.
The police spokesperson confirmed that the businessman murdered his wife and later committed suicide by drinking snipper. He noted that investigations are being made regarding the matter to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to VANGUARD NEWS, sources from the area have told newsmen that the cause of the incident was due to infidelity. The news platform revealed that the sources claimed that the deceased businessman caught his wife in bed with one of his security guards. It was reported that he then macheted his wife to death and drank snipper to take his own life inside. The sources confirmed that the lifeless body of the wife was left on their matrimonial bed.
It was gathered that the incident that occurred at Alagbaka GRA in Akure metropolis left residents of the area in shock. The deceased man was reported to have a chain of business investments, including petrol stations in Akure, the state capital. The corpse of the two victims was deposited at the Akure General Hospital by security operatives.
