Governorship Election Aspirant under the platform of the Labour Party for the upcoming Gubernatorial Election of Edo State, Olumide Akpata, has stated that the situation of bad roads in Edo State has become so horrible that Godwin Obaseki cannot travel by road.
Olumide Akpata made this claim during an interview with some journalists on Arise Television where he discussed his chances of becoming victorious in the Edo election.
During the interview, Olumide Akpata said, “my governor (Godwin Obaseki) fly to parts of the state on helicopter because the roads are so bad that he cannot get there on time, so he flys in an helicopter.”
“For me, that speaks volumes. In a state where the farthest distance should ordinarily be one hour thirty minutes, so, why are you in an helicopter? I think it is disgraceful.”
It is important to note that opposition parties in Edo State often cite poor road network in Edo State as the most outstanding failure of Godwin Obaseki’s government.
