The recent relocation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) departments and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) headquarters from Abuja to Lagos has triggered opposition.
Leaders from the North, including the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), have criticized the move, expressing concerns about Abuja’s status and the financial implications.
On the other hand, the Arewa Think Tank and the Northern Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) support the relocation, arguing that it is in the country’s interest to move federal government offices to Lagos.
