Manchester United lost to Brighton at Old Trafford today, in what was the first home Premier League loss for over a year. Manchester United went behind in the 20th minute, with former striker Danny Welbeck hitting the back of the net again. Two more Brighton goals followed in the second half which gave United a mountain to climb. Hannibal Mejbri came off the bench to give United a life-line with a brilliant goal from distance.

Lisandro Martinez
Still nowhere near his level of last season and that may only return when Raphael Varane returns. Fell for Pascal Gross’s dummy.
Casemiro
Pretty poor. Made a couple of good passes and blocks early on but his passes grew sluggish and he struggled to keep up with the pace. Substituted in the 64th minute.
Christian Eriksen
Fine bit of skill early on got the crowd on their feet but after that, didn’t offer much on another poor day in the middle of the park for United.
