A medical doctor has taken to the X platform to fume after the medical practitioner who helped her friend give birth left a pad inside her.
The doctor explained that her friend went to a very good hospital in Accra, Ghana, to give birth and began complaining of pain and having a foul smell afterwards.
The foul smell coming from the woman’s body persisted and it was recently discovered that the doctors left a pad inside her body for a whole month.
The doctor/friend of the new mum wrote on X: “I am really upset. My best friend went to give birth in a hospital in Accra, a very good one, and they left the pad inside her for a whole month.
“She has been complaining about pain and a foul smell for so long and we kept changing the antibiotics and trying different things…
“Just for her to find out today that that was the cause. I am so upset. I am a doctor myself, this is inexcusable! she could have gotten toxic shock syndrome!”
