In a fiery address on Sunday, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu, citing concerns about insecurity and hardship in Nigeria. Mbaka highlighted obstacles on Tinubu’s path to the presidency, including the Naira redesign policy, asserting that Tinubu’s success was an act of providence.
However, he expressed disappointment in the president’s perceived lack of political will to address the country’s issues.
The priest focused on corruption in the oil sector, attributing it to a specific cabal. He urged President Tinubu to take action against these individuals and questioned the delay in fixing refineries. Mbaka boldly called for accountability, suggesting that those responsible for corruption could face legal consequences. He challenged the president to demonstrate the willpower needed to bring about positive change.
Turning to the broader societal issues, Mbaka lamented the state of schools, emphasizing the need for improved conditions for teachers and doctors.
He criticized the lack of support for retirees, particularly in terms of gratuity and pension. The priest also addressed the plight of security forces, highlighting inadequate equipment and the challenges faced by their families.
